1968 R69S Vin# 662758
This 1968 is a nice clean bike that was very well maintained. the bike had been owned and cared for by the same owner for over 35 years. During that time the maintenance as well as any problems and upgrades were done by a reputable BMW dealer, Maintenance records will go with the bike when sold. The bike has had top end work done, re-bore and new BMW pistons. The heads were done at the same time with new valves and guides. The transmission was rebuild which consisted of all new bearings and seals and any interior parts in need of replacement. A final drive rebuild and slinger service was done about 10K miles ago, all interior bearings and seals were replaced at that time. Stainless steel mufflers were added at the same time. Recently the clutch has been replaced by me with all new parts. Fluids have been replaced throughout and the front and rear wheel bearings inspected. The front and rear brake shoes resurfaced and the brake mechanism dismantled and lubricated.
Since my ownership of this bike the faring has been removed and a new set of low Euro bars have been replaced with new re-chromed risers. All new cables and a set of Hella Bar end signals have been added. the headlight bucket has received a pair of Albert mirrors and a head light guard. The 6.5 gal Meier gas tank has been pinstriped, the carbs have been totally dismantled and cleaned and properly jetted with new jets and gaskets. Most of the external rubber parts have been replaced and I have installed a complete new clutch with the 9mm hard disk instead of the sprung disk. The pressure plate and spring were also replaced as well as a new rear main seal. Points, plugs, condenser and coil were also replaced and the mechanical advance was rebuilt with new springs and lubricated. The clutch rod and bearing were replaced with new and properly lubricated. I added all new cables and fluids throughout.
